Thread: Paint & Leather Protection

On a similar note, not wanting paint protection, but would like the exterior polished/wax to make cleaning easier. Don't think the pre-delivery clean does anything, as the mud really stuck after last weekend, and I was amazed where it got to (I didn't think the deepest mud-hole was over the arches in off-road height).

What do most of you do to keep the paintwork looking good? I'm thinking of getting the car detailed to hopefully make future cleaning easier. But also wondering about in between cleaning (currently CT18 with foam attachment on K'archer). And can anyone recommend detailers in Sydney North Shore?

Once or twice a year (depending on conditions where you are), a good quality polish and a bit of elbow grease. I've found the autoglym range to be pretty good.

In between polishes - I use CT20 rather than CT18. Same product, but CT20 also contains a wax. CT18 is better under the bonnet though after you've had a dose of mud etc in there. Don't really want the wax coating from CT20 on hot areas, like exhaust manifold / turbo etc.
