Thread: Transfer Case Oil

Has anyone found an aftermarket transfer case oil suitable for the D3? I hate to believe dealer oil is the only option out there...

I haven't. Last week I changed the oil in a petrol V6 D3 transfer case. The genuine oil comes in one litre bottles, the transfer case holds 1.5 litres. Luckily I have a Sport that I look after as well, so I can buy another one litre and change the oil in that transfer case too.

Given that the oil cost me over $100 per litre I don't really want 500ml sitting on the shelf. I think that the oil price isn't too bad when calculated on a dollar per kilometre basis.
