May someone please post a photo or detail of where this bonnet sensor is? I have checked out and cleaned everything. The closest thing I could find was some wiring half way down the passenger side that seemed to go underneath the heat shield cover on the bonnet. Anything else seems to be related to the bonnet latching system.

Furthermore will removing the fuse for the alarm help? If this is covered by a single fuse may be the best thing to solve the problem as I would rather defuse this thing than have to deal with random alarms that are doing my head in.

PS. This problem seems to have arisen after the battery was replaced at the last service about a month ago……may this be the cause?

Thanks for the help.

I don't have a photo, but the sensor is immediately under the latch on the driver's side. I will try and get a photo tonight, but everything in there is the same colour, so it might not turn out very well
Basically there are a couple of wires going to the sensor just under the bonnet latch mechanism.
Cheers

Not much success last night, but this one taken with the phone this morning seems to show the sensor fairly well.
Cheers

I put a paper clip in clip between the wires to stop it until we replaced it
