Removing centre console in a D3

hi Folks, i'm wanting to run some cables from behind the stereo to the center console.

I'm trying to work out how to life the console piece that the gear stick has and lift the whole thing off so i can route wires, but i cant seem to work out how to get it off?

any advice on how to remove it?

Have a look at my instructions for fitting the LLAMS switch.
    It should help you.

If you mean the gear select surround, just pull upwards
Pull the gear lever off by selecting N then a good hard yank upwards.
Don't have you head above it...I've uppercut myself a fair few times this way!
If you mean the entire centre console, there's bolts under the fridge if I remember rightly, and a screw by the park brake switch, and possibly some underneath em the cup holders. Probably more but can't remember off the top of my head I'm afraid

I did see a you tube clip for the exact question. Some mob in the UK have posted it. They have also posted some clips for other areas around the D3. So have a search on there and see what you can find.

I'm sure there's more than one black eye or broken tooth resulted from trying to remove the gear shifter. It does come away a bit suddenly.....
