with the trim removed I reccomend flushing with a wetn dry shop vac running on the downhill side to get most of the liquid up as your flooding it out. leave it exposed and get her hair drier at it on the lowest setting for a couple of hours, it also pays to lift the trim on the next doors floor panel so the air can flow through there.

Dont get the carpet too wet, keep an eye on any joins you find and you should be good.

I did much the same thing to my old Disco, and then not long before I sold her I sort of drowned the same side in a filthy puddle whilst out with the boys.

Did pretty much what Dave suggested for the coffee, and with the water I ended up placing a brick under the carpet to keep it raised for a week or so to ensure it dried out. Also used the heater a fair bit to help get it dry, but always made sure it was parked in the sun and had the windows down a bit to help remove any moisture out of the car.
Seemed to work well.

Your right Defender / Puma owners don't have to worry about such issues as anything spilt in one just pours through the cracks and holes in the floor. ...

Mind you the Defender owners would have even bigger problems if their vehicles were water tight afterall warm flat XXXX when spilt is quite corrosive. ...whereas spilt Latte isn't. ...

Coffee is way more corrosive than beer, I suggest the OP calls in a local handyman ASAP, get him to drill some holes in the floor.

It's not the coffee you want to worry about its the milk in the coffee that gives you the problem when it starts to go off.

Naa,, we're into coffees and JB's,, (the hard stuff,, like our cars,, tough )
