    High beam

    Hi there.

Just wondering if anyone knows how to adjust the high beam o n a D4?

Mine seem to be focused about 1m above eye height when, which means I get to see what's in the low branches of trees relatively easily. The low beam is set just right and I am able to adjust those easily, but the high beam has me perplexed.

My Minister of Finance has not yet approved the budget for a bull bar and driving lights.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Ahhhh possum lights.

Its been discussed on here before many times over.

Take back to dealer and tell them to fix it as you believe it to be a defect from factory, not road worthy and their responsibility to rectify.

True, but good luck with getting LandRover to recognise it as a defect.

Sounds like it will be easier to just buy the bull bar and spotties then huh.

    Possum Spotters

Given the D4 has been on sale for around four years with no change to the lights, I don't think that you will get LR to change anything at this stage.

Get the bull bar and get the lights and your problems go away!

    That's what I did.

If you have a non-HID D4 then I replaced the low beam H7 bulbs with HID's & readjusted the headlights & it is a HUGE improvement!

$130 well spent!(Supercheap Auto's own brand believe it or not!). I thought with their satisfaction guarantee, it was worth trying.

Actually around $200 spent as I also put Narva +120 H7 bulbs in the high beams to help them too.

The HID's are the "slow to start & warm up" variety vs. the factory ones, but it doesn't matter at all for low beam.
They have very small, slim & lightweight ballasts, and although not saying so, don't cause any CANBUS issues at all.

    Regards,

    Les.
