Hey mate,

I've owned my D4 since early 2010...it has always gone into 'lazy mode' when poodling around which creates a vibration at low revs...and they do stay ridiculously low.

Give it some welly or select sports mode. The gear box will adjust...but does need re-reminding.

Really mate .....please get your transmission flushed or get it checked it ...what's the Kms on you d4( sorry just read your post properly ) still mention it at your next service ....

I've got a similar problem, it is always around the 50-60 kmh range but it is not rev dependent, and is not always there.

The best way I can describe it is to say that it is like driving on the rumble strips we have on the edge of the major roads.

If I put the car in neutral while the noise is there and do what I like with the revs the noise remains until it slows down enough to be quiet again.

In the first few services I was told it was the tires I now have new tires and it's the same.

The only thing I can rely on is that it won't do it when I take it in for a service????

I guess the issue is trying to work out if its software or mechanical. My D4 is 77K down the track and that vibration has never changed....It feels like a mechanical gearbox that was changed too early...revs come on and its gone.

Try the same approach in sports mode and it isn't there...which sounds like the auto selecting the, or staying in the wrong gear....

I know this is common for autos.... including my other car, so the OP needs to try, test and talk to LR if required.

No issue whatsoever with it not being supposed to be that way...the more we all know, the better the outcome.
