Yes it's not as easy as a Rangie Classic, you need the tools.

						SubscriberHi all.
well after a long delay in getting them, the Dobinson shocks arrived this morning and at 11.00am I decided to get started.
Very straight forward removing the strut as long as you have the correct size tools.
Luck I rang Stewart at Coopers in Sydney otherwise I would have knocked my head off, trying to get the strut bolt off without firstly compressing the springs.
You idiot, Stimpty.......
So, I bundled it all into the ute and went down to my local Terrigal Mechs and they had this amazing contraption that bolts to the wall and compresses springs and while your at it, you slip in the new shock and Voila:
So I learnt a new lesson today, but there's always tomorrow.
Oh and before you all state the obvious, I could not afford new springs at this point.
Anyway, worth the wait, she rides like a new girl with no more wallowing over speed bumps and humps.
PS. Unless you have a BIG spring compressor and air ratchets, don't bother doing at home!

I just changed my springs two weeks ago to OME 50mm lift. The back are easy with spring compressors, but the front are a different matter. When compressing the springs I was waiting for something to snap!!!! Looks great with the lift though after the effort.
