    Low Battery D4 Key Fob

OK our second key fob is coming up with a low battery warning when we start the car with it, is there a way to charge it or do we need to replace the battery, and do we need to take it to a dealer to have it re-set after replacing the battery.

This is the thread you are looking for, with this handy video:

Range Rover Key Battery Replacement - YouTube

Actually, it's been asked so many times I will ask if it can be added to the FAQ.

Thank you kind sir, already had some 2032 batteries for my Guitar tuner, change it and job done all good again, didn't realise it would be that easy

I did a search first up too and that thread didn't show in the 11 pages I trolled through

    Thanks again,

I kept having "low Battery' come up intermittently in my car and then worked it out it was my wifes key fob. This she only had in the duffel....oops I mean handbag, when we went away for a trip, so was able to narrow it down. Mine had been changed a few weeks previous.
I always have a couple of spare batteries in the ash tray as you can open the car with the emergency key. It is a very simple job to do.

You are not supposed to touch the new battery with your fingers like it shows in the video though.

Probably because the acid from your fingers can corrode the battery metal facings.

FWIW, rather than breaking out the cotton gloves, I usually handle them with a clean hankie.
