I have got hold of some angel light DRL rings to go into my headlight housings.
Does anyone have a link or the procedure to split the front glass from the headlight housing - I know it needs a bit of hair dryer or heat gun heat to get them apart but would rather follow some instructions.
Also where is the best place to take switched 12v from under the bonnet and as I will need headlight power to turn them off when headlights come on is there a spare piece of loom with spare socket to take light power from. If not I will take power form one of the parkers.
Thanks
Garry

***Sorry Gary, just re-read the post, you meant head light-Not Fog Light***
Gary I have just finished mine last weekend.
I just used a Stanley knife to cut the existing silicon away & the lights came away with the help of a flat blade screw driver.
The inner plastic shroud I discarded also as they did not fit with the ring in place.
Power I sourced direct from the engine bay fuse box, there were a few spare fuse spots to use, so I plugged in one that running all the time when ignition was on.
They are bright & match the LED signature on the D4 nicely :-)

Thanks Pete - mine are not all that bright so I don't think that I will need to have them go off when the headlights on as they will not be visible when the lights are on. I have noticed that BMW angle lights stay on when the lights are on.
Cheers

Garry - pretty sure only DRLs have to go off when headlights are switched on. DRLs are heaps brighter than "fairy lights".
However angel lights would be considered to be DRLs in a strictly legal sense and should be switchable but I don't think I will worry about it.
