I'm sure it will be safe to get your oil changed

As it will be an optional change (5K), more to save time, I'd prefer not to risk it.

Ditto, don't understand why it should change your mind. Dealer in the past have done things right.
Manager rushing it through now. I'll see what happens.

More likely to be from a seal in the turbo oil pipe rework.

Yes, this happened to me after the new oil pipe was redone. No leaks in the 3 years prior to that. After the work - occasional drops. Took it back and they fixed it up no problems. No problems since that time.

I had years of no oil issues whatsoever with my D4 until LR changed the turbo.

I had leak after leak after that....always the same area, always related to the Turbo work.

Been fine for a while now....fingers crossed.

Exactly the issue O ring pinched when installing the oil return pipe.
Looks like a common problem when doing the mod.
Lost a lot of oil (at least two litres) but I don't think it would have affected oil pressure.
Shane pushed to have it fixed and paid for a taxi for me to collect it.
Cock up but responded to well.

    What prompted the drain rework?

Bluish smoke on acceleration. I also noticed a lot of soot on the rear.

I need to get mine's drain changed because I suspect its the cause of the blue smoke at start-up.
