Land Rover dealer replacing a D3 alternator with a refurbished not new. Help?

					Background story:
Bought the Disco 3 HSE TDV6 about a month ago. The service manual shows the alternator was replaced by a dealer ship about 40,000km's ago.
I figured this was going to be a positive as I had read the alternators did have issues along the way, so looking for one with a replaced alternator was a good start.
The service was done by an LR approved dealership/workshop.

 Concern:
The alternator I pulled out on Saturday to replace was a refurbished factory original with the sticker on the back. Is this an LR service decision? I thought they would be smarter and put in the new Denso units.

 Questions:
Any other Disco owners found this out when replacing an already replaced alternator?

And can I go back to the Workshop that pulled out the original to refurbish it, and get an answer as to why they didn't go for the new replacement?

As always all info is appreciated!

 Cheers,
 Ben
