    Update on D3 wheel carrier.

Murray from Rijidij was awesome and has completed the latest evolution of his RWC.

He was able to use my car as a donar vehicle to confirm the new kit fitted as designed and while Murray fitted it, he created some detailed installation instructions templates etc.

The new design has a bolt in axle stub, allowing full removal of the RWC arm and makes installation easier.

Murray said he planned to make a batch of them to satisfy the many D3/D4 requests he gets

Thanks Jim, for volunteering your D3 as the guinea pig for the latest prototype of this wheel carrier. As usual, it was a pleasure to meet another friendly AULRO member.
Although everything fitted up well and the new design was much easier to fit, I'll be making some very minor adjustments to allow a little more clearance between the hub and tail gate.
If all goes well, I'd like to get some more of these cut with my next laser cut order in a couple of weeks and put some more carriers together.
I feel like a broken record, but I'm a one man operation here and things always seem to take longer to get up and running than I would like, but we're getting there.
I've had quite a few requests for D3/4 carriers, so it is something I want to get on to ASAP.....................among all the other jobs

    Cheers, Murray

That looks very nice. I'm sure you probably have been asked a thousand times but is there any issues with th rear sensor? Do you have an idea on price at this point? Cheers.

yes..there is rear sensor issue, but as I also run a mitch hitch...although its missing from this picture.

I think I will completely cover the RHS inner sensor instead of the 1/2 cover I installed that you can see in the picture.

From what I've heard, it's a bit hit and miss with rear sensors being affected, depending what type they are etc, but they do usually have issues with anything fitted near them.
Apparently some types can be rotated, which might help, or you can try something like Jimc has done with partially covering them.

Haven't finallised price yet, but looks like around $1100 + freight. Will post details in the vendors section when they're available.

    Cheers, Murray
