    Screeching brake noise

    Hi Guys,

Have taken my 2009 D3 a couple of times off road now and whenever i come out of a big puddle of water, the front brakes give this screeching noise for a few minutes and then dissappears. Anyone encountered a problem like this. Is this something I can just ignore or take care of it asap before it does too much damage.

    Thanks.

Is it the discs getting a fine coat of rust? I get the same problem with my ute whenever I wash it, the brakes squeal until the pads remove the rust.

Probably small stones getting in between your pads and rotors, if the rotors develope a lip, it can cause the stones to get stuck in there, or could also be your handbrake full of crap, this can cause the handbrake to stick on which causes a screech, check it out too, might need cleaning out or pads may need replacing.

    Baz.

Have a look at your front pads and rotors, might be due for replacement.
    Cheers Baz.

My D3 does the same, Only does it every now and then in really dirty muddy water, I put it down to stones and gunk getting in and my discs and pads are reasonably new with no lip and very little wear on the pads.
