    Anyone replaced turbo hose tdv6

    Hi all,

My manifold hose to the intercooler has a split up the top....
What's the best way to get to the bottom end of the hose?
Remove wheel and inner wheel arch or is there another way to access the area?

    Cheers guys!

The bottom side trim on drivers side, curls round from the bottom to the side it is quite small with 4 clips holding it in place. Turn wheels full lock to the right and it is easy to get to.

    That literally took 5 minutes!
Turned wheels to full lock, snapped of (and broke all) 4 clips unscrewed clamp, unscrewed top clamp pull hose off, new one one. Test drive.

A lot more responsive now! And saved myself $180 from local dealer to do it!

Yes, an unfortunate collateral damage, those clips fill with mud and grit and are very difficult to remove without damage....what were they thinking!! "...don't worry, these vehicles won't need any maintenance in the future...."

Ryal, make 100% certain that the inlet and outlet pipework you are clamping the hoses to are free of oil before slipping the silicon hoses over them. even clamped up tight they can blow off.

The long hose is easy to change, the middle length one more challenging but the short one is a complete utter b**stard! I read its about 4.5 hrs job to swap that one!

There are higher rated Silicon hoses available so you should not have to do it again.

    Hi Ryall,

What did the kit set you back if you don't mind me asking?

    Cheers,
    Ben
