The above issues highlight why I went with the BAS Map - is a known, proven player in the D3 world, is much cheaper, and with the included device I can change maps in a couple of minutes wherever I am without the requirement to go somewhere to get it done.

Also - I have had mine for a year and absolutely no issues and the extra zoom zoom is great.

Mass Air Flow Sensor, On the air intake duct - measures air temperature/volumes etc the ECU adjusts accordingly. If this is up the crapper then your engine will be sick.

This should be a part of routine service schedule - probably every 30-40,000km... but no. :(

Takes about 5 mins to remove, clean and reinstall - and can make a massive difference.

I will second that (also clean out the manifold as the amount of crud that builds up for the same reason as it builds up on the MAP sensor is huge) - not an issue for me any more as I have my EGRs blanked.

Yes third that, however never poke anything down the centre hole.
It is too easily damaged.

This is not your remap problem though, just something else to be aware of.

You have been given a generic "Autologic" remap.

A one fits all tune.

No problem with that. But it won't be tailored to your specific wants or mods.

Those are my thoughts too, but having said that, where would one obtain a specific "your car" tune?.....Plenty in the U.K., but is there anyone say in Melbourne, that can individually re-map a Puma?

BAS...

He sends you the module, you download your Vehicle, and send him the file. Along with a list of mods, use etc.

He emails a modified file to you, you load it on the vehicle.
