Borrow a lap top you only need it for putting the map on (or off)

Just wondering what the cost is for one of these remaps?

    Cheers

Hey herrBlick, when I had mine done on the D3 at Ritters, they offered to install the original mapping prior to taking it in for a service elsewhere.
As you mentioned, they are friendly.

    Cheers, Craig

Just thought I'd post this on here instead
I was on my way to AB transmissions this morning when I got to 100kms I went into cruise control and all was good,( this was the first time on the freeway since remapping)

Then out of the blue "special program's off " flashed up and the car started to slow , I had to go across all the lanes to get to the hard shoulder, freighting !

Turned the car off and on again ... No problems and off I went.... This happened again four times.

I searched the forum for answers and found a topic with similar symptoms , the advice was...... Wait for it '!!!!!!!

Remove the rest of your keys from the car key as it pulls on the ignition,

So I did to no avail,

Called Ritter's and drove their to have them have a look. On the way my fuel light came on and I filled her up,

There was a running rich error on the reader ,and the mechanic couldn't replicate the fault

I then drove to AB transmissions everything was cool,

Until I got onto the freeway and gave it some. Yes! The same thing happened again. So I called Ritter's and they said come back and we shall put the you old program back in and see if its the remapping causing it...

Ok I thought very nice service...

So I continued up the freeway and decided to give it some again.

It was amazing the car drove like a dream at naughty speeds , I couldn't believe it. All was good , I decided instead to go home and keep an eye on it over the weekend and see

    I informed Ritter's of my decision ,

When I arrived home and went to reverse my car I shockingly realised my gear stick had been in sports mode with out me shifting it,

Can you just drive your car in sports mode and just not touch it?

Has anyone else had the cutting out problem?

And you have to go back to have the map replaced if it gets overwritten by a software update from dealer or autologic.

You could have bought a windoz laptop with the difference.

I think the map is at fault, you can dive in sport mode without issue, it just changes the gear change points ( I think D4 also changes mapping)

Too rich is overfueling, either map didn't take or a badly written map.
