    Bottle Jack ...... Any good?

I was able to pick up this jack from a local workshop ImageUploadedByTapatalk1378104182.182480.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1378104216.815028.jpg
Which fits perfectly in the useless storage space for the back seats

Might not get the wheel off the ground.... I think you need one that can raise to a height of +400mm

    have another look here:

Storing it on it's side may cause a problem with leaking. Best off being stored upright if possible.

Does it say anywhere on the box what the fully extended/retracted heights are?

EDIT It does say, I missed the second picture.

I've ordered a Merc Sprinter jack from a wrecker.

Hopefully it's exactly the same as the one in the failed group buy. Awaiting delivery in the next couple of days.

Might work on the suspension but unlikely to be high enough under the chassis jacking points.

Pretty cool trick when you lift it that way without removing the fuse.....once you get it started the wheel will lift by itself.

yes, it is nifty, suspension up to off road height, jack up to the control up then lower the car and watch the wheel lift of the ground - no sweat!
