Thanks folks , the kids are getting bigger so not sure for how long we will need to put them in the back.
We aren't in a rush to get a vehicle so we will look at all options ..

I would go for the best condition and best serviced if you have a tightish budget. I had the choice when buying my D3 SE or a RRS, The sport was actually 1k cheaper but I went the D3 because of condition/ service history and the space inside.
Coolum I have used mine a few times as 2x2x2 the fridge full of beer on the 2nd row works a treat, all passengers can reach itair is for pussies (ok and kids).

SupporterIf you have beer, you don't really need air.
The disco using a 2x2x2 seating config. lets everyone get a lux ride with plenty of room and makes the third row less claustrophobic as well.
The 2nd row centre seat can be left slightly raised for an armrest and (with plenty of cool air pumped through for the pussies) it's a real limo experience.
A 60km/hr drive up the beach on low tide is like 'flying', except whisper quiet..
Can't beat it.
I went for the HSE Diesel,
3rd row air is brilliant, I have a Bullmastiff so this pretty much sealed the deal, no other 4x4's offer 3rd row air in that price range.
I looked long and hard for no alpine roof or sunroof, me being tall they can take up head space, and I didn't want to have to deal with the leaking issues and I don't really have a use for a sunroof.
Front captains chairs are a brilliant addition I must ad, and I also really like the HID headlights.
Also the stereo is far better in the HSE, but I have no rear controls for mine
