Hi Ean,
CaverD3 had them on his D3 a few years ago and he seemed happy with their puncture resistance and durability.
Gday All,
Just wondering if anyone has used cooper H/T instead of the Goodyears.
They are a bloody good price at the moment, and if doing mostly highway miles wonder if they are a good option.
Not a fan of coopers, but never used the H/T .
Cheers Ean
Hi Ean,

Gday...
My D3 had H/Ts on it when I bought it. I did about 35,000km on them and then replaced them with another set of H/Ts.
I got almost 60,000km out of the new set and I travel full-time, mainly towing, bit of dirt road but little off-road work. Rarely had to put air in them and only one puncture in that time - picked up a self-tapper in the van park at Mount Surprise QLD. I thought they were a good tyre in all the conditions I travelled in/through.
How have Cooper A/T3 tyres fitted.
Cheers - John
I have the cooper HT plus on mine, done about 40,000 kms and looks like I will get another 20-30,000 easily. Extremely happy with them, very quiet and grippy in all conditions. Have also taken them on quiet a few off-road trips before buying some km2s on my 17 inch rims and never got a puncture in them.
My boss has had Cooper HT's on his D3 for some time now and is very happy with them. He does a lot of camping trips with "mild" off-roading.
I haven't been able to bring myself to consider Coopers after some bad experiences with them on work vehicles a while back. Just booked in for a set of Mickey Thompson STZ's to be fitted tomorrow. The BFG's were about $180 per tyre more expensive.

Hi Ean,
I had a set of Cooper H/T's on my D3, also had a LR tank, dual wheel carrier, drawer system, full fridge, and a camper trailer, went across the GCR, had lots of trouble, tried messing around with tyre pressures to keep the temperature down without success. One got an irreparable puncture in the tread and second one didn't look to flash at the end of the trip. Both rears. The fronts were OK, as mentioned they were quiet and to a point looked the part.
They were the highest rated load tyre I could find at the time considering what I had on the back end of my disco. I ran them for a while when I got back and then changed over to GG AT's and didn't have any problems, they were noisier though.
My road set on the D3 are the 18 inch cooper H/T's and before I got the muddies off rob I abused the living bejesus out of them off-road on difficult and rocky tracks with almost zero issues
Couple of deep scratches on the sidewall and missing tread blocks which have created no issues at all.
On road - they hang on hard when pushed into corners, brake well and give great feedback in the wet bar a little bit of under steering into some roundabouts.
Very happy with them.
As Rich said. Was very happy with them, not one puncture, long wearing good on road but hard compound that makes them last gives less grip off road and in the wet.
I changed to GG ATs as they are better off road. I still have a complexly unused HT if anyone wants it.![]()
PM me.
About to clean out so you are welcome to it. It's an 18".![]()
