Especialy if you on 19inch rims , i solved that problem by fitting 17 inch rims , now i can what i like where i like at a sensible price .
Gday All,
Just pricing some tyres before we go away next month, my god , Darwin tyre suppliers are outrages with their pricing.
Thank god for internet shopping, shame it takes so many local businesses so long to realise that people will look on the net for a better deal.
Think 5 will be coming up on our next freight truck from Brissie.
Cheers Ean

Yeah - I'm up in Darwin too and the tyre prices were insane. I instead had 4 sent up from Melbourne and even after paying for fitting and balancing up here I was still $500 better off.
Presuming 18's Ean, what did you get? I'm in the market for some for our Amarok, looking for something in the 265/65 size range in an A/T, just finding it hard to find the right Tyre for the right price
I haven't purchased any yet just started ringing around, but when I never had a price under $410 per tyre for anything, its time to by interstate.
Likely get perrelli ATR on ebay for $265 each as I can get them to Darwin cheap , so only need to pay fitting up here. I was looking at both 255 and 265 and 265 has more options I think, must be a prado or pajero size tyre.
Cheers Ean

Same here, just spent a week getting prices from $465 to $550 here in darwin, any suggestions where else to try? Seems to be a lot of arguments both ways for the Pirelli's and the Coopers, I had narrowed my choice down to these two, still undecided at this point.

SubscriberI have found St George Tyres Online in Sydney to be excellent. Have brought Coopers/Bridgstones and Continentals from them, way cheaper than quoted locally. If they don't list what you need ring them they can often get what you want in fairly short time. Freight was very reasonable and the Company as a whole were good to deal with.

SubscriberTempe Tyres are also great for prices as AFAIK they grey import.
I bought some tyres recently and they were excellent to deal with.
I don't know how you would go for warranty elsewhere as I suspect say the BFGs are grey imports.

As far as I know both St George and Tempe tyres import themselves. I have dealt with both companies and the pricing and service has always been great.
