It's time for tyres again. Have done 30K on the pirelli scorpions. Have been looking at the bridgestne d697 which seem to be the tyre of the month on this forum as it is the only one available in LT in a 265/60/18 size, which would mean I have to change all 4 or 5 if doing it properly.
Has anybody tried the Nankang FT-7 tyres. I know they are cheap at only $200 a pop but my reasoning is if I can't get a decent tyre anyway without buying 4 maybe I should just get 1 or 2 Nankangs to get me by. Please let me know your experiances with these tyres.

30,000 that is correct and totally useless. Have had countless puctures and have had 1 tyre that has a series of 24 pinholes that have apeared in the middle of the tread where the rubber joins. Yes there is a visable rubber join mark.
Hate to brag, but I'm just about to clock over 100000kms on Cooper STC's and they would still have 4-5mm of tread left. Only flat in that time was gravel caught between the rim whilst deflated to 18psi and getting bogged.
Cheers
