SupporterYes, 200 Series Sahara first, Prado second, D4 third.
Apparantly the D4 is suspect on the beach with its 19 inch wheels and because it is a Land Rover the judges couldn't trust its reliability! Looks like "RoverLander" should now be nick named "ToyotaLander" instead!
Bob
In all honesty, I think the D4 having such big rims is a bit silly, and would compromise it in some situations compared to others, but to be beaten by the Play doh - give me strength...

						as opposed to:
Prado: "underpowered, dated, noisy engine and suspension, fuel economy" and
LC200: "engine noisy at idle, fuel economy worst of tested, dust in air box, third row takes up too much room"

SubscriberWe should all stop worrying about these reviews etc. Reality is that plenty of Prado's/200 series are all out there doing it. Some easy, some tough. Same with JLR products. None perfect all have pro's and cons. We should be more interested in making friends with all who at least get out and have a go. What they brought and why is small beer in the big picture.By getting over brand wars we can show maturity......
Well done Meccles, my thoughts for many years, have owned a couple of patrols and were both great cars and took me to many places, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
Lets ALL get out there and enjoy ourselves, sounds like we should accept the mutli cultural car society we live in, thank goodness for choice.

SubscriberHaha you are more "mature" than me! SWMBO thinks that I am very immature maybe one reason we have such an expensive car to do things that a good second hand Prado/Pajero/insert any brand you like here could do with a some easily fitted accessories. We just love the drive for the 95% of time car is used as normal transport.
But was it a mature decision to buy? Probably not

i haven't read the article yet and i do intend on reading it because id like to read how it was judged. I know one of the criteria for judging is "value for money" and that's a very important thing when buying a car. so i'm not sure how a Landcruiser Sahara at $130k and a Prado Kakadu at $100k represent value for money over the other contenders given that you could get matching his and hers Jeep Wrangler or VRX Pajero (5th and 6th) for the same money as the Sahara?
