			Radio Mystery

					Hi,

 I have a my11, TDV6, 2.7 with 100k and 3yrs.

No major issues with the vehicle apart from the air compressor under warranty.

Today the radio started turning its self on and then off. The car systems had been totally shut down for 10-15 minutes and the the radio turned it self on for a few moments then off. The vehicle driver display didn't initialise only the radio. The radio was off when I turned the vehicle off.

This has happened a few times today. Very disconcerting when having a quiet nap on the bush.

Is this a sign of the cranking battery nearing its end. It is the OEM Varta and 3yrs/100kms old.

 Any similiar experiences?

 Thanks

 Agro

Check the battery. FYI I've just had to replace the crank battery on my '11 D4.

could it be something to do with the the Bluetooth connection to your phone. If your phone is connected to it, try unconnecting it and see if there is any difference.

If you don't have the motor running then after a period of time, the ecu says the amplifier may drain too much power from the starting battery so it will shut the sound system down, does this help answer your question?
