Thanks for the replies. It seems I need to ensure the installer puts in the effort to get the sensors to work. Also would appear to be a dodgy design.

    Hi tonyci.

If you're considering alternatives I decided to buy and ECB bar. One of the reasons was that their web site said it was specifically designed for the LR. It has positions for the sensors. I have mine on order at the moment and hope to have it fitted soon so unfortunately cannot categorically confirm it works but it says it on their web page so they I presume that it should or they break consumer legislation re fit for purpose.

D4 ARB Bull Bar & Front Parking Sensors

I have a D4 SE with front parking sensors and ARB deluxe bar. ARB have been attempting to get the sensors working since *feb 2012*. The sensor mounts they use are defective and not fit for purpose. I have had two different ARB workshops try to fix the issue and not a single attempt has lasted beyond the drive from workshop to home.

The sensors in my Kaymar, installed at the same time, work perfectly.

ARB have just recently confirmed in writing that they do not know what the solution is, and that they have no time frame for providing one.

I've got an ARB deluxe winch bar on mine - with no parking sensors on the front at all.

Honestly can't see any need for them ........................

My front sensors have not worked since the arb bar install. Installer was not interested in rectifying. They also knocked out my rears somehow I am not sure if they can be individually switched off. I have given up on getting them working. Make sure all sensors remain plugged my loom is now coroded as it was left unplugged. Argghh.

Apparently the front sensors can be turned off via software.
Or so I have been told. I will check this out. My install is scheduled for Friday
Not so worried about losing the front but would like to keep the rears if possible.
    Cheers

Correct. The fronts, rears, or both can be activated or deactivated using a Faultmate, Nanocom, IIDTool or similar.

Well had the bull bar and winch installed. Took two days at Ritters. Did a very neat job. They de activated the front parking sensors , rear still work.
Thanks for all the help and suggestions on my various threads re bull bars.
Car does feel a little different to steer but not too much, a little heavier.
I am sure I won't notice that by the end of the weekend
    Cheers

Had the OL bar fitted 2 months ago to my new D4, 4 hrs fitting time, front sensors working perfectly.
Originally wanted the arb Sahara bar but they don't make a model for the D4, so I went for the OL bar to keep the sensors.
