    Graeme, part is LR030353 (superceded no.s are LR013960 ==> LR022104).

    You need to supply your VIN when ordering so they send one with the correct finish to match your interior.

    BTW you can't just replace the audio control switch, you need to replace the whole switch pack including the cruise control switches.
    Cheers,

    The non-operating switches occurred again today but started working as soon as the wheel was wriggled. I forgot to tap the area first so don't know if that would have got them working but am still favouring the clock spring at this time. Having to replace the CC switches as part of the assembly sounds expensive so its about time to pop the front off to investigate before ordering any parts.

    About 180AUD from the UK for the switch pack.

    Thanks SBD4, I had just discovered the 96 GBP price using your part number. Regardless of whether its the switch or clock spring, having to replace either at only 4 years old is not good. If the switch has died and with it having been superceded a couple of times, perhaps a design change occurred that will make them last a decent usage.

    A UK parts supplier tells me that I need to replace a lot of parts costing more than 400 GBP due to mine's VIN (Oct 09 build). The parts are all switches with the numbers LR030353, LR030354, LR030355, LR030356, LR030357, LR032267, LR032268. The list might include other switches not fitted as mine only has the 2 switch packs on the face. If true then perhaps the way all the switches operate may have changed which then could mean other parts or s/w updates. I'll need confirmation from elsewhere before ordering if the switch is faulty and cannot be fixed.

    Edit: I removed and dismantled the switch assembly for inspection. Spotlessly clean under the switch membrane and wires to the rotary coupler connectors properly restrained so still suspect the rotary coupler. But at 200 GBP excl freight for a new RC the fault will have to get worse to better reveal itself unless just replacing the left switch assembly is somehow confirmed to be the cure.

    The switches are working OK again, for the moment at least. Having read about some D3s with connection problems between the wheel loom and the roto coupling and noting that the top of the roto coupling can move about, the connector was given a liberal dose of contact lubricant in case of dust in the contacts. Tapping the switch surround does not affect the switch operation.
