For all practical intents and purposes it's not possible. From memory, someone has tried it but I cant remember if it was a success. In any case, the cost is prohibitive considering its only a $1000 option for new cars.
I waited and waited for a near new one with ediff but gave up in the end. Its still a very capable 4x4 without ediff.
