Thanks guys. Made the tool from a coat hanger. Popped off the airbag. Reseated the connectors and all buttons working like new again. You have to push pretty hard to get the airbag clipped back in. I didn't disconnect the battery or anything. Was a bit worried the airbag might explode. But it didn't. Photos attached. Cheers. Andy.
Glad it worked out well, and there was no exploding airbag to contend with. ;-)
I had the same problem, but was still under warranty - dealer replaced switches. Think I'd disconnect battery if I was playing around with explosives though!! :-)

Had the same issues with the buttons took the air bag out and re seat the plug all the issues all fixed now .
