Thread: Anybody use/mount Gro Pro on D4 Dash

It was, can't see my face though! Full face helmet...

I mount mine to the top rail of my ARB bullbar, using a genuine Gopro clamp.
I have a Gopro app on my Android phone that I use as a remote control. Works really well.

I will invest in a clamp, sounds like a good idea. I spoke to some one who used the surf board mount and tether straps to their bull bar.
I have just downloaded the iPhone app.

No worries Tony, another option is a suction cup holder that mounts on the inside of your front windscreen. That way you can keep the Gopro plugged into your cigarette lighter.
The bullbar mount is good in the fact that the camera only picks up what is in front of the vehicle and not the bonnet, dirty windscreen etc.

I used the suction mount from an old Mio GPS that just happens to fit the GoPro system perfectly. I positioned it outside the car under the right hand mirror. This was with my old GoPro with no remote or app so every video starts and ends with me turning it on/off (i now leave them in as a trade mark )

I now have the 3+ Black which has amazing features and quality. Here is the Vid of the under mirror (roughly edited to get it up here) - I have some other vids (time lapse/ MTB ) under my user id as well

Nice vid Dan. Shame Moreton is such a slum. Look at that scenery. How do you cope?

I live close to Moreton. Would love to take the Disco there sometime, but clueless. Need to book myself into Gordon's seminar in Feb...

well feel free to PM me and I'll give you my mobile. I'm happy to talk Moreton! I've made 10+ trips. This was the first in my D4 but did 3 or four in my D3 as well. The Disco's are great on Moreton with the trickiest part being remembering to turn on/off all of the buttons for driving off road - it's the one big gripe I have about the Disco (well that and the annoying bong bong you get when driving on the beach at off-road height)

You can sort that out by getting GOE Rods or LLAMS - you'll be able drive as fast as you like and never hear the bongs again.
