If you want a bit more life out of your pads and rotors try the Akebono ceramics. A few people have tried them on this forum. Do a search. You can get them for both ends of the 2.7 D3/4, and I think the rear of the 3.0 is the same. The front end is currently not catered for.

As an aside, I use the Bosch Falcon wiper assy's, and while they wipe ok, the blade is not as glued to the screen in gusty conditions, or higher speeds as the OE. IMO. There is a difference. Your call if you wish to pay for it.
I had my D4 serviced at the dealers in Osborne Park a couple of weeks ago. When I picked it up, they told me that the brakes would probably need to be replaced next service.

I asked them if they offer any alternatives other than the OEM pads etc and mentioned the Akebono's - or would they fit the Akebono's if I supplied them. They replied that they would only fit OEM.

Oh well - looks like I'll be doing the brakes myself. At least I used to be a brake mechanic in a past life (many years ago), so should not have a problem.

Be interested to know where you got them from - anywhere in Perth stock them ?
