I wonder how this badging concept is going to fit with the badge deselect option?
I guess these are just phases marketing has to go thru - kind of like portholes on the wings.
LR started out with a single real one for the snorkel and marketing decides if one is good, two is better.
Here in North American, for a while, all the manufacturers, (except Buick), decided if portholes looked good on vintage Buick's, then they would look good on new product, including pickups. About the time that fad died off, Buick finally started to put the portholes back on their new production.
In one of my posts above, I show two pictures of the Ford Flex; the early models with a plain bonnet and the newer ones with FLEX spelled out - the future according to Ford styling who I think are still running LR.
I guess for 2015, I should look foreword to GM putting CHEVROLET across the front of the pickup bonnets - true progress and there is lots of space. Current production is almost debadged. A Chev bow tie in the grill, a small SILVERADO name tag on the lower portion of each front door and the bow tie emblem on the tailgate and sometimes Chevrolet in small letters and an LE or LTZ tag.
My guess for North America is that if the LR4 as we know it continues in production, they will remain with LAND ROVER on the bonnet.
