I'm a little confused! The details of the new MY14D4 are now up on LRA website. Looking at the overview it states the SDV6 as 183kW, yet when you go to 'build' it states 188kW? Other than the badging and headlights, I can't see any other difference to the MY13. I thought that a HSE would come standard with the 'blind spot', car park 'reversing radar' and two front cameras; but it seems everything is an option (although a few additional as above) and five cameras as before not two (+rear). Drive away price has not changed either? Been looking (dreaming) for a few years now and was really hoping for a few more standard features on the MY14. I like the look of the MY13 headlights better and of nothing else has changed it looks like a low mileage MY13 is hopefully on the cars later this year.

    D4 HSE LUX?

Over here, for 2014, and maybe also 2013, but I have not paid any attention, there is now a 2014 LR4 HSE LUX and to me, the spec reads like my 2005 LR3 HSE.

Maybe there is now a LUX in Australia as well.

As to engines, there is talk of a a supercharged petrol V6 but of that, I am vague as it seems to me to be going backwards. The link below suggests the 5.0 Litre normally aspirated petrol V8 is still the standard engine with the six speed tranny.

The suggested retail price of $71,000 is just a computer generated number for your amusement. On the showroom floor here in Western Canada the price you pay exceeds 90 thousand Canadian dollars.

Maybe TATA is becoming too involved - their NANO has not quite lived up to expectations so maybe the team has moved on to something bigger and better.... First they blow the new Defender so badly they want to get rid of it, now it is the Discovery they seem to be targeting.

Oz doesn't get the hse lux here.

Referring back to an earlier question in the thread, no diesel particulate filter nor intelligent stop/start for MY14 oz spec either - that's why LRA site still shows 230g emissions not 213g as in uk MY14.

    Corris MY14 on the way...

Well that's two pieces of good news, I'd pay extra to get.

Yeah its a damn shame that not much changed thats why i didn't bother waiting for the MY14 and just got a MY13 with a few options!! But i was hoping with the HSE they would load a few more in the car i hate having such a big options list its a pain, especially if you hate waiting for cars and want one now haha

    End of the model line?

Maybe not so with Land Rover as they have a history of Limited Editions with the Range Rover and Defender, but whenever American manufacturers start to come out with Limited Editions of a vehicle, that seems to be code word for shutting the production line down in the near future.

As such, I tend to be apprehensive - those marketing guys again.

Yes exactly, with an all new platform due on a couple of years (my16/17?) they have to keep the interest up somehow!
