So, who has the highest mileage TDV6?

In the couple of years that Kym owned it, the transmission was rebuilt, lower control arms changed, HP fuel pump changed, rack & pinion box changed, and a few other things done. Original owners did lots of long country runs which racked up the km's. Befitting that, it came with a 110L aux tank, rear wheel carrier, Reece hitch, rear ladder and bull bar. By having a rear ladder I'm assuming that the roof rails/rack were fitted at some point. Am still waiting for all the paperwork so will let you know when I get its full history.

I replaced my tranny and transfer box in the L322, which has similar setup to D3/4 6HP26, at about 240,000km.

Reviewing this very encouraging thread as I cross the 180,000km level. Everything still tip top (touch wood). Original (but serviced) compressor.

Still on second set of LCA's with no looseness. 2nd gearbox flush done.

Original wheel bearings.

Slight possibility of an early rear diff whine is only possible issue.

2.7D engine burns no (detectable) oil between changes. Hopefully its a Monday engine.

While nothing lasts forever and some things will need doing and upgrading in planned maintenance.

My question relates to LR car electrics. While I can get my head around mechanical fixes dodgy electrics would not be fun. It seems from this and many threads I have read that the electronics are pretty reliable?? Especially since the MY08SE is quite simple on features inside with no display screens etc to go wrong.

Any thoughts?

I recently had the canbus module in my instrument cluster fail. In the process or scouring the internet it seems its not an uncommon fault. Its the only electrical fault I've had with my D3

198,000kms done in mostly off black stuff touring. The roads less travelled are much more interesting and often deserted?

Air Compressor replaced under warranty at 100,000km to updated version.

Still on original wheel bearings.

Autotrans oil done three times. Haven't towed anything.

All specified service schedules and items done along the way with 12,000km oil change intervals.

Alternator and water pump done at about 170,000kms as a precaution.

Another precautionary replacement of all four struts at about 185,000km. The shocks were very tired after solid use with a reasonably well loaded vehicle.

Central Door Lock only issue.

Only complaint is that I need a permanent car detailer to clean up after my forays in the bushes. The cars is always accused of being dirty, scratched and well used.

2005 D3 TDV6 s. - 337 000K

bits and pieces changed along the way, only once did not get me home (fuel pump in tank) though this had plenty of warning it was on its way out.
Turbo hose blown once, suspension upgraded (springs) lower control arms, few other things along the way but she has been great.

The key fob is busted electrics are going silly I wonder if anyone reading this knows an affordable way to get a new one?
