go to DISCO4.COM - Index search for bodsys brake bible. Easy to use instructions for servicing EPB.

EPB does self adjust and will tighten up automatically. Dust can get caught and throws it completely though.

I recently overhauled my rear brakes and referred to Bodsy's brake bible.

The instructions are easy to follow, however I would use Bodsy cautiously because some of the torques for bolts are more than twice the LR spec.

I think he upped the torque for reason. Any adverse reports?

    Ver 1.4 page 6/35 Bodsy's Brake bible

States "All torque settings contained within this ‘bible’ are manufacturers recommended settings"

    Page 22/35 BBB

"You then need to re-fit the Calliper carrier bracket. Again, I
applied some medium thread loc before re-fitting.
Set the Torque Wrench to 275Nm. Note that this is very high and
most ‘normal’ torque wrenches will only go up to 200Nm."

    TOPIx specifies 115 NM

Might not be as far reaching as CAN messages, instead just a change involving the status line signals between the BCU and the EPB since the fuel tank level wires/signals also go directly to the BCU. Still strange that it wasn't just a s/w upgrade.

Got a reply from Bodsy.(Ian Bodworth)

Seems I got instruction for the front and rear mixed up.

Ian referred me to the latest version 1.6a. His Bible is correct. The 275Nm is the correct value for the front brake

The rear is correct at 115 Nm
