Hey Mungus, my delivery date is approx 7/6, but its not being built until early April - Australian allocation, or so I was told. I want my VIN too, but I can't get it until after its built, hopefully that want take too long.

As for the lag, seeing as though you have come from a petrol car that may be more pronounced, I test drove both a TDV6 & an SE & whilst the SE did accelerate quicker & so on, I didn't think there was a lot of difference in the initial reponse say from traffic lights etc between the two, of course overtaking speeds etc would be better in the SE with more power & torque.

As for the wallowy feeling, Im coming from a WJ/G Grand Cherokee with live axles at each end & although its not bad, the Discovery is night & day shades better.

But the wait is killing me, I had my dealer send me the build sheet on Thursday & although I ordered the e-diff, front sensors, Hi Line audio rear camera, privacy glass & wade sensor, the build sheet also included Blind spot monitoring, surround camera system, which are not on our contract or purchase price, so Im very interested to my VIN & check what exactly is on our car.

Tiddy, Was that the dealers build sheet they gave you or one from LR the dealer gave you? If it was the dealers sheet, you may be very lucky and get those few accidental extras. My dealer was very accurate about what was included in the deal, so I don't think I will be so lucky. VIN and Topix will tell all!
If the initial delay to throttle response is the same in mine, it won't take much to adapt driving style to compensate.
If the wallow (mostly cornering handling I refer) is a characteristic of luxurious comfort, then LAMMS on -20 should help with that a bit.
I'm not expecting the D4 to have sport car handling and acceleration response, just more of a note to self that it felt a little weird after hopping out of mine as one would expect.

The wait is so hard, you just feel I want my car haha. But I can assure you the wait is so bloody worth it!! They don't wallow that bad once you get used to them coming from a 150 prado I can assure you if you had your arm on the window of them you would near get gravel rash they are that wallowy. They are sublime car in all aspects quiet comfortable and so powerfu when it comes to overtaking I find drop back to 6th with the paddles and just feed it in and ride the torque curve they are great, plus the 11 speaker stereo is amazing to sounds great!!

Mungus, the dealer sent me a screen dump of the dealer pipeline-view order, don't know if that makes any difference.

Come to think of it the only problem I have with mine is sometimes the sun catches some of the chrome in the interior, especially the gear selector and glares into your eyes haha but that's it!!

Got my VIN from the dealer today! Looked my VIN up on Track & Trace and then the ship on Live Ship Maps and apparently my D4 is on this boat called Toscana and landing in Melbourne on the 19th May after calling in to Perth. Bit different to the 11 weeks the dealer has told me? as I have mentioned in Tiddy's post 'Got my VIN'.
But it's built and on it's way. Yahoo!

    Wrong ship

Sold my car today. So I thought I'd check with the dealer, as I was of the understanding my D4 was offloaded in Melbourne last Monday 19th. Nope still on a ship. I was confused. Long story short, when I entered the last five numbers of my VIN into track & trace, there were about 30 results. So I picked the first one (exact five numbers I entered) and all the seemed to match up - ports of call etc... If I had looked down about 20 rows, I would have seen my full VIN No.
So heads up for Track & Trace - Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics, enter your FULL VIN in the right field 'Cargo ID'. D4 is actually on the ship 'Morning Composer' due in Melbourne on the 16th June.
    Bugger!

    LR 5 year warranty

My D4 is here! Cleaning, tinting, fitting door strips etc.... happening today and picking it up tomorrow.
I don't need the Allianz extended warranty anymore, as with the Main Event sale on at the moment LR are offering 5yr warranty + road side assist.
Pretty excited, but can't show it too much today as it's my daughters birthday. Need to be excited for her today. Tomorrows my turn!

Fantastic, I'm sure you'll be grinning like an idiot for a long time to come. Be sure to keep us updated on accessories and mods fitted too.
