Thread: D4 Tailgate Issue

Hi guys,


My D4 has just started popping one of the cables off the lower part of the tailgate.


It presses back on really easily .... but then pops back off again a bit later.


Anybody else experienced this? Is there a quick fix?

Is the spring clip still in place properly? If so it may need some reshaping but I suspect either its gone or partially unclipped.

I pulled the rubber boot back today and realised that the clip was not fully in place. Not sure how it came undone. First time I've actually looked at how the lug is secured.

I've pushed it back into place but I guess it remains to be seen if it's fatigued and won't hold or whether it has just been knocked about.
