If you remove your spare, you can get to the back of the white socket, and likewise the tail light will get access to the other end ... really fiddly but possible. Helps if you have double jointed finger joints too!

Why not make yourself an Anderson to 7 pin 'S' plug adaptor. You can then use it to provide power or backfeed from a solar panel into the main battery. A lot less trouble/

Thanks Admiral and your solution would certainly be a 'lot less trouble'. But it won't suit my application. What I didn't mention is that I am charging 480Ah of caravan batteries, which I suspect would be too much to expect of the wiring that supplies the 'S' plug. Presently I have 6 BNS cable to an Anderson plug attached to the lower lip of the bumper. I am wanting to relocate the A plug to where the 'S' plug location, primarily because it is a more secure and convenient location.

Same problem with having to charge the vans batteries, my solution was to change to a 12 pin socket, removed the 12S plug and mounted the 50 amp Anderson plug in its spot. I believe this has sorted out my charging issues.
