    D2 to D3, what am I thinking?

So I have the opportunity to swap the 2 for a 3 with tdv6, air suspension and leather, old has 309kkm, new has 160kkm, minor issue involves a quick trip back to nsw from port lincoln to register.

So what can go wrong? Dealer says timing belts due 180kkm, inter web says 160kkm.

I think the interwebs are right. 105k miles, 160k km or 7 years.

    You'll notice the difference.

You won't be sorry Yorkie. Did you buy it in Port Lincoln?
Is it white with steel bull bar and dual wheel carrier on the back?
If so, I know the previous owner.
    Good luck with it.

It is white, with bar but no carrier on the back.
Only traded last week, still a bit dusty inside until they detail it, 2006 model.

You are thinking "there's got be be something we need from the shops so i can have an excuse to jump in that D3 for another spin!"

hang on... you haven't bought it yet, you are thinking "I've got to have it!"

make the dealer do the belt and make sure the new oil pump is fitted too - it's time. transmission flush would be good too if it hasn't been done.
    Cheers,

    Sean

You will notice a massive difference (improvement) when towing the van with the D3 over the D2 and the D3 has lots more room. You will be up for several thousand in major servicing though. Still once its done then you know its done.

I'd keep the SA rego, if you go back to NSW to re-rego it, you'll have to jump through all sorts of hoops, besides WA is closer, there has to be some way for you to rego it on the move, grab a grey nomad and ask them.

168,000ks is belts, $2500 or so according to Peter, he doesn't take the body off either
