    Question MY13 headlights poor

Another quicky. The halogen headlights on the above are not good. There are threads here on upgrading/swapping to bixenons but not after that. Quick non-tech answer please. Are there any difficulties in just upgrading the globes to a better output?

    Thanks in anticipation.

Have a look at these, we changed over to these on our Amarok, make a huge difference.

D4 Halogen is H7, go with either 50 plus or 100 plus in white, either will be good

Ta. I wasn't sure whether it may interfere with other electronics given the sophistication of how everything integrates.

Don't go the intense - a waste of money - perform like a basic globe with blue glass in the bulb. They are definitely not 4200K.

Garry, spotted that on your previous post. Now to just work out how to get the others out & new buggers swapped

That's why I only mention the plus 50 and 100 in white.

These are available at Supercheap by the way, we put the Plus 50s in the Amarok.

The only downside to the Plus 50/Plus 100/etc bulbs are that they don't last anywhere near as long as the originals. Hint: carry your originals as spares!

I have found that where I have used them in other vehicles. More expensive but shorter life span for a better light.

The alternative is keeping your eye on eBay UK for a pair of bi-xenon headlamp assemblies, and then activating them in the CCF with a Faultmate or similar.
