    Service Interval and Cost

    Hi. We are looking to replace my wife camry with either D3 or D4. With the budget we currently have max we can get I think 4 years old TDV6 D4 S or SE probably with at least 100k on it. With the age I think it should not be covered by warranty unless we found one with extended warranty.

    Anyway can anyone tell us what sort of service interval and associated cost with either TDV6 D3 and TDV6 D4?

    Intervals are 12k,and costs differ due to who you use.The D4 went to longer intervals,but most people stay at the 12K.
    My preference is a good Independent,someone should chime in with one close to where you are,as i don't know your area.

    I would ring them and ask the costs.

    A D3/4 will definitely have service costs way more than a Camry.

    You need to check service records with a microscope and maybe have an Independent check before purchase.

    Repairs are the biggest costs,suspension wear,maybe an Air compresser,timing belt at 7yrs,or 160K.

    Don't let me put you off,they are a fantastic,reliable vehicle,but like anything mechanical,have to be maintained correctly.

    Do you think we should wait for D5 to come out? I guess used D4 will drop in price when D5 comes out.

    Anyone knows when they will have D5 on the market? I hope my wife can wait a bit longer 😁

    You could wait, but I'd recommend getting one. We went from having sub $15k cars for some time and the wife finally gave way to my yearning and we got a MY11 D4 TDV6 SE about a year ago. We both absolutely love the car, and don't regret spending that amount of coin for one minute.
