Spare Wheel hard Cover for D4

I have just recently upgraded my D4 with a long range tank and rear wheel carrier (which have been great), but I am having a lot of difficulty finding a lockable hard cover for the spare wheel.

Has anyone else found a local supplier or is interested in getting together to import a whole bunch and split costs ?

Any other solutions that people are using to both protect their spare and keep it safe in dodgy car parking areas ?

Wheel lock nuts would be a good solution.

I have a single lock nut on my carrier. I don't see the need for a cover as every 6 months i rotate my 6 wheels.

    Cheers.

The other wheels and tyres are out in the weather all the time anyway!

Ok, so does anyone know a cheap place to get LR lock-nuts ?

I have tried after market tyre places, autocheap etc and they dont seem to have the size/type required.

Do I really have to go to a LR dealer and pay an arm/leg for them ?

Lock nut = waste of time... 10 seconds and I will have your lock nut off...

If the area you are in is that bad, I would fear more for the vehicle itself than the rim

Weld a shaft to the centre of the carrier, with a washer large enough to cover the centre hole and then drill a hole for a padlock.

Lock nuts only deter honest thieves...

First LR. I use a chain in plastic tubing bought from Bunnings and I padlock.Or go to a push bike shop and get insulated cable with a combination lock. Thanks Kero.
