    Footwell light connector unplugs?

I wish to fully remove the horizontal sound shield that is above the brake pedal in the drivers side foot-well of my LR3.

I undid the two little cross head screws and the shield dropped down after a bit of pulling to dislodge the sides and rear, but to fully remove the shield from the vehicle, I note I have to remove the foot-well courtesy light.

I removed the frosted plastic lens, pulled out the W5W peanut bulb and then tried to get the round bulb holder out the opening in the shield. The opening is not large enough so I then tried to disconnect the two wires from the round bulb holder. I failed.

The two conductors look to feed into a small rectangular connector that appears to plug into the round bulb holder.

In reality, it seems like the rectangular bit the wires feed into is glued to the round plastic bulb holder. I doubt it, and it seems that the connector should separate from the bulb holder, but if so, I cannot figure out how. What is the secret? Is there some little tab I have to release? If so, it must be small.

You are correct it is a connector which just pulls out. It is a bugger to put back in as the wire is fairly short.

I've found that the plug can be easy or difficult to disconnect - mine is quite difficult but I have R&R'd several others that have been easy.
