    Fuel filter change

I am about to change the fuel filter in my D4 SDV6 3.0. Will it require bleeding afterwards. On my previous D2 TD5 you just turned the ignition on a couple of times for about 30 seconds to bleed the air out. Is it similar on the D4.

If you have the push button start then you push the start button without your foot on the brake which turns on the ignition without stating the engine.
Repeat a few times as with the D2/D3 and it will bleed the system.

You'll wish you still had the D2 TD5 when changing the filter as its gone from a dead-easy, see exactly what you're doing job to a fingers crossed that no dirt got onto the top of the filter job.

An absolute PITA to change.May be easier if on a hoist, but i don't have one.

They must have put a lot of thought into putting it in the most rediculous place possible

Even the Puma is dead easy, same as TD5 disco.

About to do the D4 fuel filter change today. Used to only take a couple of minutes on the TD5 disco. Had a quick look where the filter is located last night and definitely looks like there is lot more time involved. Gone from a two minute job to a one hour job. Would be much easier on a hoist but I do not have that luxury.
