    Cooper zeon - best prices?

I am about to start chasing a set of 5 coopers for my D4.

At this stage I can't decide between 275/50/20 or 255/55/19. I have 19's at present, but the 20's give me a bit more side wall height, which would help off road. I'm not too keen on the 18's visually, although the cheaper and better tyres do attract me.

If I go 18's I could get 285/60/18.... The choices are frustrating.

Has there been any new tyres released in any of these sizes?

Terra Grappler - All-Terrain Light Truck Radial

I have seen some in the US using the above (Nitto); but dont know much about them I'm afraid. Assume you have seen the Tyre Guide / Size Calc on Green Oval Experience site??

    I don't think you can get a 275 50 20 in a Cooper Zeon, only 275 45 20 which has less sidewall than the standard tyres or 285 50 20 which isn't strictly legal.
As CSBrisie has pointed out you can get AT tyres in 265 50 20. There is a Kumho KL61 as well as the Nittos.
I'm going to try the Nitto Terra GrapplerS when I (finally) wear my Pirellis out. I can get the Nittos for $250 each.

What's the big deal with tyre dealers?

Every tyre dealer I ask about moving from 275/40/20 to a 45 profile for our RRS says it's a bad idea because of sensors, speedo error etc etc... but no one batted an eyelid when I upsized on my D2?!

It just seems to me that apart from a /tiny/ bit more sidewall, the 45 profile versions of tyres almost invariably have better load ratings than the 40 profile versions?

No-one's had any trouble size-wise with 275/45/20 s on their L320 RRS, have they?

    Thanks

Are these the original TGs or the newer TG2s? When I was looking for 20" tyres for my RRV the original TG was being sold by direct importers at a significant discount to the current TG2. The TG2 is supposed to be considerably better than the TG in several aspects but in the size I wanted were well over $400 each.

We have 275/45 R20 Cooper Zeons LTZ fitted to our RRS. No issues. Speedo is almost spot on. Got them from St George Tyres online. Give them a ring if not on their site they normally get them in pretty quick. Paid $280 each about 18 months ago. Plus freight of about $90. Very happy with them, deflated them to 20psi on sand, worked real well.
