Wheel alignment height

just had the 4 wheel alignment done at my local LR dealer as they changed all the tyres over to GG's and it cost 160 bucks, there is a LR specialist on the northern beaches area who has the tools to do it also.. Opposite Lock use them for their modern Landie alignments

That's my personal preference.
I like to keep the car at the exact height that I travel at, with just one personal at the wheel.
I know it self levels....but that's the way I choose to do it.
When I have my Touareg aligned....I stay in the car for the duration (weird or anal I know), as most of the time it has one person riding in the car.

I had my D3 in for a puncture repair yesterday so asked if they do alignments and not only did they say yes, but also stated they have to leave it run and then just open the tailgate to lock the height. Is this an option???

Leave the engine running and have the tailgate clicked open? Thats odd i know my car moves up and down with the tail gate open but not the doors? Maybe thats has something to do with it not sure

Nat is right, the car will still move with tail gate open. If you want to be sure it wont move with out having to using a gadget to engage tight tolerance mode then go with Brett's advice and remove the fuse.

The car has electronic air suspension capable of adjusting for a 3.5T tow, without a WDH .... what diff would sitting at the wheel make?
