There are sheets of 4mm ply screwed to the outer frame so that should all hold it together. For the other joins that may come apart I am prepared to rivet in case of a failure. If it all falls apart I just won't open the tailgate at nightly stops to save having to pick it all up off the ground The cargo barrier is a work in progress Mark.

Just a tip, if you are camping at Dalhousie we camped at Three O'Clock Creek. This is where the picture of the tap is on the Hema Maps, Its a few miles from the springs but much quieter and doesn't smell like a septic tank.

    Regards,
    Tote

And don't leave your boots outside at Dalhousie. I slept in a swag on the ground beside the 110 with my boots at the end. Just after lights out I heard a noise and grabbed the torch to look around. One boot was about 4m away with a dingo trotting away. Before that dingos where prowling around on the other side of the car.

And do the dishes and put them in the car,or they will disappear as well......

Have a good trip,it is a fantastic place.

Travel as light as possible, and remember the long handled shovel,it may come in handy.

Last trip we did, west to east, last year, took three jerries, used two.

You just jogged my memory - I was running 285/60 R18's and used probably 20ltrs less, this was most likely due to the fact that the wider / higher profile tyres floated the D3 much better than the standard tyres.
So yeah I'd adjust my calculation for you to possibly using 2 x 20ltr Jerry cans if running 19's
