			Auto box multiplug
		
 
			
				
					Has anyone worked on one? I need to fix  a leak on mine. 06 D3. 
 Is it a gasket or just seal with automotive silicon or a new plug required. What is access like?

					If you mean the mechatronic seal - once it starts leaking, I'm pretty sure you have to then replace the loom to the auto box. I'm pretty sure that is what happened to TerryO and what auto repair shops have told me.

					You can buy just the seal for the multi plug for the Auto Box.
 
 Not a lot of room to move & is easiest to remove pan.
 So while your at it, do an Auto Service.

			pan must be removed to remove and install sleeve
		
			
				
					The link below is to a 3 page pdf with pictures that shows how to replace the sleeve that holds the multipin electrical connector that passes thru the transmission body to the Mechatronic unit.
 
 The install of the sleeve is more difficult than the removal in that one must not rotate the sleeve as damage to the internal pins can result.  The pan must be removed to both remove and install the sleeve.
 
 Like everything else, once you have done your first one, it is not too difficult to replace however the first time, the install can be difficult to do without doing damage to the internals - the trick is not to rotate the sleeve no matter how much that seems like a good idea.
