My MY13 D4 has instant as well as whole trip. It has 3 meters - auto which resets when you turn the engine off, Trip A and Trip B which you can reset if you want. Trip A and B show instant as well as average too.

They are not at all accurate from my experience and most forum members comments I've seen indicate it's a general thing.

Should have read the idiots guide to RRS , must have set it up wrong when I got it or the previous owner did , all ok now Lts /100Ks . Don't know why anyone would want Km/Ltr ? , might be an English thing .
Also Garry I have no instant fuel readout , just the ave per 100ks . Al

I wonder if kilometres per litre is more accurate then litres per 100.....but I guess they use the same inaccurate formula for both.
Will give it a try and see if there is any difference.

The previous owner possibly went that way because we used to used Miles Per Gallon in the pre metric era and they could relate to or understand Km/Ltr better.

If you want to be more accurate, try using microlitres per millimetre or the inverse of.

it always stays on A.

On My MY13 D4 HSE it is accessed by pressing the right hand "OK" button on the steering wheel which has 4 directional arrows around it positioned N,S,E and W. That brings up a menu in the dash between the speedo and tacho. One option is Trip Computer. Select that with the OK button and then you will see Auto, Trip A and Trip B. Tab down to the one you want and press OK to select, then back out of the menu. It will now be visible when you press the button on the indicator stalk.

At least that's what happens with mine :)

You just need to adjust the bias, which is likely different between cars, but it's set at +7%. I think I have it at b-3.5%, and over a whole tank, is generally out by no more than +/-0.5L/100km, which is accurate enough for me.

How do you do that? Haven't seen that option in any menus or is it an option in one of the diagnostic tools I read about here.
