    Which is it

Have only just noticed after 3 yrs of ownership that the fuel reading for instant usage is Km/Ltr , I always read it as Lts/Km , so does this mean Km travelled per Ltr of fuel used . This is arse about to my falcon read out which is Ltr per Km travelled .

Too cold to go out to the car and check at the moment but I suspect that it might be user selectable in one of the menus.

Should be able to change in the menu to which way you want it.
Cant be moving either to change/enter the menu.

    Fatso - isn't your RRS the same as mine - a 07MY??

If so how do you get an instant readout on fuel consumption. Mine only provides an average in mpg or l/100km selectable in the menu - instant fuel consumption is not available - i needed a Scanguage for that until it got blown up by lightning.

    Cheers

Unless your RRS trip computer is different to my Discovery, when you scroll through the trip computer options, you get distance to empty etc, one of the read outs is an instant consumption.

And speaking of scangauge, is that more accurate as a trip computer than the LR & if so why. Wouldn't a scangauge use the same parameters to get the information?

Gday , As mentioned above I just use button on end of stalk to set up readouts etc and scroll through to set it up , So one of the options was to get instant fuel , I must have set it myself yrs ago but only just noticed it was reading Km/Ltr not Lts/100km . This is why I thought my fuel consumption went up after blanking the egr , not sure if have Ltrs/100km will check latter . PS I think mine is only average readout not instant instant Cheers

That is interesting - there is no option on my car to select instant fuel consumption, average consumption only. I also checked the Handbook and there is not mention of instant fuel consumption - my car is as listed in the handbook - average consumption only.

Scanguage uses the same inputs but has different formulas for calculating items eg average fuel consumption is worked out from last reset - not sure what the LR one is but is definitely not from last reset - maybe averages last 100km - don't know.

What model Disco do you have - if it is a D3 it should not have a instant fuel readout.

I do not know about a D4 but I do know its message system is different.
