DSC Activation

If it is any help when my D3 was doing it, it was always on a right corner we thought it was the rear passenger wheel triggering it, had the wheels aligned made no diff. but as said has not come on now for probably 10000klms.

I and the service guys have no idea.

Might not applicable to Discos, because it was happening to my Commodore ute (with 270KW to play with) but I had trouble with the stability control engaging on corners when I really wasn't going that hard. Checked the tyre pressures (see my post about tyre pressures on the wife's D3 causing problems), even had the dealer check for fault codes (none). Then it stopped happening as quickly as it started.

After talking to my tire guy he suspects it was something to do with the tyres. Although they were a well known brand of performance tyre, I've not used them again. Nor have I had a problem since.

If all seems well after a thorough check I'd monitor the situation for a couple of weeks... If you can arrange a tyre swap with someone for a short time that might help rule out the donuts:p

I run two sets of tyres, so that's not a problem, after having the broken axle replaced, we had the seal go, so had to have the rear axle seal done Monday, so the new axle had to be taken out for this to happen, since picking the car up, had no issues with the DSC, it really needs an alignment anyway, so it's having one done today, if there is anything a miss, the guys doing the alignment should pick it up, hopefully!!
